MyNewRedShoes - BayArea Local Project

My New Red shoes was started in 2006. They provide new clothing and shoes to underprivileged children in the Bay Area to help them start their first day of school with confidence. They have helped around 1000 kids in the last 2 years in the Santa Clara & San Mateo county.

This year their target is to help 1500 children in Santa Clara, San Mateo & San Francisco. Clothing is provided to kids in the age range of 5 - 18. For kids from 5 - 11 years they provide brand new shoes.

My New Red Shoes work with homeless shelters to identify the kids in need in the age group of 5 - 18 years.

In August of every year they provide a small little gift bag to the kids. The cloth gift bags are made by volunteers and inside the bag they have a 50$ gift card for buying clothes, a postcard made/handwritten by volunteers and a small gift. For Kids in the age range of 5 - 11 they also add a brand new shoe to this bag.
